Who is this CSRD readiness assessment for?

This tool is designed for sustainability managers, CFOs, and ESG consultants at companies preparing for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). It is especially useful for companies in scope for Wave 2 (all large undertakings with 250+ employees, reporting from FY2025) and Wave 3 (SMEs on EU regulated markets, from FY2026). It also helps value-chain participants whose large customers are asking them to disclose Scope 3 data under ESRS SBM-3.

Frequently asked questions about CSRD readiness

Who needs to complete a CSRD readiness assessment?
Companies in scope under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive — including large EU companies (500+ employees from FY2024), all large undertakings (250+ employees from FY2025), listed SMEs (from FY2026), and non-EU companies with €150 million+ EU revenue (from FY2028) — should assess their readiness well before their first reporting deadline.
What does the CSRD Readiness Checker measure?
The checker scores your organisation across six pillars: data infrastructure, GHG accounting, multi-framework coverage (ESRS, GRI, TCFD, ISSB, CDP), governance and controls, supplier engagement, and direct CSRD preparedness. Each pillar is weighted by its relative contribution to a complete CSRD submission.
What score do I need to be CSRD-ready?
A score of 76 or above indicates Advanced readiness. Scores of 56–75 are Progressing. Scores of 31–55 are Getting Started. Below 31 is Not Ready. Most organisations beginning their CSRD journey score between 30 and 55.
Is a CSRD readiness assessment the same as a Double Materiality Assessment?
No. A CSRD readiness assessment evaluates your internal capabilities and processes needed to support CSRD reporting. A Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) is a mandatory CSRD step that identifies which sustainability topics are material to your organisation. Both are required well before your first CSRD submission.
When is the CSRD reporting deadline?
The first CSRD reports (covering FY2024) were due in 2025 for the largest EU public-interest entities. Companies in subsequent waves must report one or two years later. The CSRD deadlines extend through 2028 for non-EU companies and SMEs.
Is this tool free?
Yes — completely free and confidential. No account is required. You receive a personalised recommendations report by email immediately after completing the 12-question assessment.
